Homemade Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

The Mario Badescu drying lotion is one of the most popular and effective lotions out there, but why go to the store and buy something so pricey when you can just make your own DIY drying lotion at home?

Below we’ve got a step-by-step guide on how to make a homemade drying lotion that’s very similar to the Mario Badescu drying lotion so read on and you’ll be clear of redness, pimples, and blemishes before you know it.

Ingredients you’ll need:
  1. Water
  2. A small container 
  3. 1 bottle of calamine lotion 
  4. 1 bottle of 100% tea tree oil
Making Your DIY Drying Lotion

1) Calamine – Firstly, shake your calamine lotion and then pour it into a small bowl.

2) Tea Tree Oil – Next, pour one bottle of 100 per cent tea tree oil into a separate bowl. 

3) Mix Water – Then you’re going to mix the tea tree oil with around three times the amount of water. Be sure to mix it well.

4) Container – Now you need to pour the calamine lotion into your small container so it’s about a third of the way full.

5) Fill – Lastly, just fill the rest of the bottle with the diluted tea tree oil. 

6) Leave – Now, just let the lotion sit before applying.

Homemade Rubbing Alcohol Drying Lotion

Ingredients You’ll Need
  1. A small bottle (big enough for Q-tip to fit in)
  2. Rubbing alcohol
  3. White willow bark or white willow bark capsules
  4. Bentonite clay
Making Your DIY Lotion

1) Pour – First, you need to pour your rubbing alcohol into the small bottle you’ve chosen. Leave about an inch of space from the top.

2) White Willow – Add in 4-6 capsules or 2 tbsp of white willow bark into a clean jar.

3) Mix – Now add your measured out rubbing alcohol to the white willow bark and let it sit for 2-4 weeks.

4) Strain – Now strain what’s there.

5) Bentonite – Add bentonite clay slowly into the bottle until you have a nice thick layer on the bottom.

6) Rubbing Alcohol – Next, add the infused rubbing alcohol back into your bottle and you’ll see the clay slowly absorb the liquid.

7) Apply – Once it’s made you can use it straight away!
