Let’s Talk About The Olaplex No 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner:

I must admit I was hooked on the Olaplex No. 0,  3, and 4, but do you really need to buy the conditioner too? But in order to enjoy the ultimate benefits, the conditioner is a must. It detangles, locks in that moisture, and makes hair feel like silk.

You absolutely don’t need to buy every product in the Olaplex range, but if you want to buy the basics and still reap the benefits, then buying Olaplex’s 3-4-5 set is what you need to repair damaged hair. These three products are the staple products in Olaplex’s collection and together will work wonders to repair hair.

The Olaplex No. 5 is a highly moisturizing, reparative conditioner that can be used on all hair types. It will leave your hair feeling like silk and works wonders for repairing split ends and especially frizz.

I have frizzy hair at heart, so this conditioner, along with the treatment, has changed my hair game. Since my frizz is mainly damage-related because of bleach, it helps repair and restore my hair, so it is left frizz-free.

In this review, I will be going through how the Olaplex No. 5 works and whether it’s worth investing in as I’m all about saving every bang for my buck, which is why I created the Best Olaplex Dupes guide– so you can trust me here!

How The Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner Works:

Olaplex No.5 is a deeply nourishing, reparative, moisturizing conditioner for all hair types. It works to relink broken bonds while deeply hydrating the ends of your hair. The patented system repairs extreme damage to turn dry, brittle hair into soft and resilient hair.

Both the Olaplex No. 4 and 5 work on a molecular level in a clever formula that works to repair and regenerate strands that have been damaged by chemical, thermal, environmental, and mechanical damage. It also offers an intense moisture surge!

It leaves hair easier to manage, shiny and healthier with each use.

Before applying Olaplex No 5, squeeze out any excess moisture before applying as this will help the conditioner penetrate more deeply. Use a small amount and massage into the ends, and work your way up to the mid-lengths, trying to avoid roots.

Grab a wide-tooth comb and comb through the ends to ensure even coverage, and then leave it for at least three minutes and then rinse. I tend to wash my hair first and then apply the conditioner and then do things like shave, exfoliate and wash, so you don’t lose time in the morning waiting around to wash out the conditioner.

What We Think Of Olaplex No. 5 At Beautists:

What makes Olaplex so good, and what makes it better than other leading brands? Well, their patented technology within their line and use of the ingredient “Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate,” which is a bond multiplying ingredient.

Unlike other brands, Olaplex is the first to bring in this technology, which is why it is far above other leading brands. Just like in their treatments, the No.4 shampoo and No.5 conditioner work to permanently rebuild broken disulfide bonds in your hair.

It repairs and protects the hair from everyday stresses such as mechanical and environmental damage as well as chemical and thermal damage too. Something as simple as brushing your hair too vigorously can cause damage to your luscious locks.

The conditioner is personally worth investing in unless you go for another leading brand like Aveda or Redken. It is worth investing in as it detangles, moisturizes, strengthens, and deeply nourishes the hair. It even helps with taming frizz.

This shampoo and conditioner combined with the no. Three treatments work hand in hand to hydrate and strengthen hair; it even helps keep colors more vibrant for longer as it doesn’t strip the hair.

Granted, the $28 price tag is quite steep, but it is worth every buck. When it comes to hair care, there’s no point wasting your time on drugstore brands, especially when it comes to shampoo and conditioner.

Professional brands are expensive for a reason. Drugstore brands claim that they “repair and restore” when in reality they are made with a small amount of the expensive ingredients that make up professional brands and the rest is cheap ingredients like silicones that coat your hair with plastic.

So you’re far more likely to see results from professional brands like Olaplex. Check out my full guide of what is Olaplex and how it works for more details as to how these magic formula work to benefit and strengthen the hair.

Plus, as a side note, a little goes a long way with professional brands, especially Olaplex, since the formula is super concentrated. Unlike drugstore brands where you use half the bottle in one use. How quickly you go through your drugstore brands, you may as well have invested in the professional, to begin with.

For most drugstore vs. professional, you might get through 3 or 4 bottles of drugstore products to 1 bottle of professional– the price isn’t so steep now, is it? Olaplex is worth the investment, trust me!
